Blue Shock is a Mountain Dew Freeze Flavor. Its tagline is "DEW with a Blast of Berry citrus flavors."
History
Mountain Dew Blue Shock was originally released as simply "Blue Shock" in early June 2002 for a 30 day run.
It was later re-released with the word "Freeze" added and has stayed in 7-Eleven stores ever since as a Slurpee. It was later released in Canada as both a Slurpee flavor and a fountain drink.
Malaysian release
In 2014, as part of the DEWmocracy Malaysia promotion, Blue Shock was released in 500ml bottles in Malaysia, joining the regular flavor, Pitch Black, and Live Wire. It was described as "DEW with a Raspberry Citrus flavor." Blue Shock won DEWmocracy Malaysia but the other flavors remained permanent.
Pakistan release
In 2016, as part of the DEWmocracy Pakistan promotion, Blue Shock was released in 500ml bottles in Pakistan, It lost to Pitch Black and was discontinued.
Philippines Release
In 2016, as part of the DEWmocracy Philippines promotion, Blue Shock was released in 300ml bottles in the Philippines alongside Livewire.
Description
Mountain Dew Blue Shock is a citrus and berry flavored Mountain Dew (strongly resembling blueberry), and is cobalt blue in color.
