Dewshine

Dewshine was a Mountain Dew flavor released in stores on March 23rd, 2015 in the United States. The flavor remained available until it was discontinued in February 2017.

Description[]

Dewshine was a Citrus-flavored Mountain Dew and was clear in color, similar to Mountain Dew Ice. Dewshine was made with real sugar, similar to that of Real Sugar. Johnson City Gold and Dewshine both allude to being alcoholic beverages, despite not having alcohol.

Dewshine was originally sold only in 12 ounce glass bottles, but would later be available in limited edition 25 ounce jugs. A selection of 4 different jugs of Dewshine was available at Circle K stores, which were also advertised as a limited edition offering.

Differences[]

Dewshine had 42g of real sugar per 12 ounce bottle whereas most other flavors have 46g of high fructose corn syrup and other sweeteners. Additionally, Dewshine did not contain orange juice, a standard ingredient in other flavors. As previously mentioned, Dewshine was not available in modern conventional containers such as cans and plastic bottles, instead being sold in glass bottles and small jugs.

Trivia[]

  • Dewshine was the first clear Mountain Dew flavor produced. Subsequent clear flavors may be found here.
