Dewshine was a flavor of Mountain Dew released on March 23, 2015, and discontinued in February of 2017.
Dewshine was a citrus flavored soda, and was clear in color. It was made with real sugar, similar to Throwback. Johnson City Gold and Dewshine both allude to being alcoholic beverages, but in reality contain no alcohol.
Originally, Dewshine was sold only in 12 oz. glass bottles, but would later be available in limited edition 25 oz. jugs. A selection of 4 different jugs of Dewshine have been seen at Circle K stores which were also advertised as limited edition.
Dewshine had 42g of real sugar per 12oz whereas most other flavors have 46g of high fructose corn syrup and other sweeteners. Additionally, Dewshine did not contain orange juice, which is foreground in many other flavors. It had its own unique flavor. Dewshine never came in modern conventional containers such as cans and plastic bottles, and rather glass bottles and small jugs.
- Dewshine was the first clear soda in the Mountain Dew lineup, the second being Mountain Dew Ice.
