Sangrita Blast was a Mountain Dew flavor. It was previously exclusive to Taco Bell restaurants, alongside Baja Blast, but was released in stores briefly in 2015 for the summer. Its standard Taco Bell tagline was "DEW with a Citrus Punch" (Formerly Cherry Pomegranate) while its store release tagline was "DEW with a blast of natural and artificial citrus punch flavor."
History
Following the success of Baja Blast, Sangrita Blast was made available in Taco Bell beginning in December 2013, alongside 5 other drinks, one of which was Diet Baja Blast.
In-store release
In January 2015, information began leaking through the internet about a second store release of Baja Blast, accompanied by the debut store release of Sangrita Blast. On April 5, 2015, the Baja Blast page of the official Mountain Dew website was launched with a countdown clock, and a message that read:
"The countdown is on: one of our most requested flavors is making its triumphant return to shelves. Starting April 20th, score MTN DEW® BAJA BLAST™—plus MTN DEW® SANGRITA BLAST™—in bottles and cans, but only for a limited time."
Sangrita Blast began its limited time in-store release on April 20, 2015 along side Baja Blast's second in-store release. The flavors were sold on shelves until the end of Summer 2015.
Sangrita Blast was unfortunately later replaced by Spiked (Lemonade) in Taco Bell soda fountains in 2017.
Sangrita Blast Freeze
Beginning in May 2015, participating Taco Bell locations began offering Mountain Dew Sangrita Blast Freeze, an icy variant of Sangrita Blast, replacing the preexisting Snapple Lemonade Freeze. It was discontinued at the beginning of September 2015 and was replaced by the Starburst Cherry Freeze.
